Gordon Wride (guitar/dobro and vocals), the original member of The Revelators, was born and bred in the Amman Valley, Cwmgors (John Cale country), and now lives in Swansea. After travelling around the UK for much of his life and attending Swansea University in the 1990s, his knowledge of the blues brought him to the attention of many international media companies, which included a stint with BBC Radio Wales as a presenter for The True Blues Show and working on research projects for Blues Festivals in Wales.

His band The Revelators exists in two formats, an acoustic two-piece and, replacing the Dave Jackson Band for this concert, the four-piece The Electric Revelators. (Dave Jackson has broken his leg and is unable to tour.)
