Phil Wall’s Jazz Cardinals are based on Freddy Keppard’s Jazz Cardinals who introduced New Orleans jazz to Chicago in the 1920s, but left very few recordings.

Phil’s Newport-based band re-creates a range of styles and has been playing all over southern England and Wales since 2001. They are regular performers at clubs in Cardiff and Bristol.
