The Snake Davis Band

Leading UK-based soulful jazz and funky grooves band…

Where: Festival Pavilion
When: Friday 1st May
Time: two sets each from the Snake Davis Band and the Hamilton Loomis Band; first set by Snake Davis starts at 8pm; concert ends at 11pm

A big hit when he played at the 2006 Admiral Mumbles Mostly Jazz and Blues Festival, Snake Davis is well established as one of the UK’s leading saxophonists. He is in demand from the biggest names on the British popular music scene, as well as visiting artists from overseas.

In recent years he has been extremely busy and in the public eye. As resident saxophonist on ‘Tonight With Jonathon Ross’ he played with the likes of James Brown, Smokey Robinson, Chaka Khan and many more. He has been seen regularly on TV with the Eurythmics, M-People and B*Witched and presented a saxophone ‘Masterclass’ programme for ITV. He played all the featured saxophone and flute parts – on record and tour – for Lisa Stansfield and M-People.

“He doesn’t mess about.” The Guardian
