Getting to Mumbles

By rail

Swansea train station is located within a short walk from the city centre. Frequent trains link Swansea with Cardiff, London, Bristol, Manchester and destinations in West Wales, as well as destinations in other parts of England and Wales. There are also good rail/air links for travellers to Swansea from Cardiff and Bristol airports and from London Heathrow and Gatwick. Taxis are readily available from the station to Mumbles and other destinations.

By bus

National Express runs frequent coach services from many points in the UK to Swansea's central bus station, situated centrally next to the Quadrant shopping centre. (The bus station is currently shut for refurbishment, but buses stop at points around its perimeter.) First Cymru offers a comprehensive bus network throughout Swansea and South Wales area, including a half-hourly shuttle service between Swansea and Cardiff. First Cymru's 2 and 2A services run frequently between the central bus station and points in and around Mumbles. Gower Explorer operates a local bus service which passes through Mumbles on its route around both North and South Gower.
