Dirty Aces

“You cats play like you mean it!!!” – Sugar Blue

Where: Con Club
When: Sunday 2nd May
Time: 5.45–8pm

Based on Jersey in the Channel Islands, close to the coast of France, the Dirty Aces have been cooking up quite a storm with their filthy and tough harmonica and guitar-led blues. Winning new fans at every gig and converting many new music lovers to blues fandom, the Dirty Aces always have the joint dancing by the end of the night. Whether playing jazz festivals, blues bars or house parties, the Dirty Aces convey the power and spirit of unrestrained low-down blues.

Giles Robson – harp/vocals

Filip Kozlowski – guitar

Paul Bisson – bass

Tim Bryon – drums

Reviews:

“Superb no-nonsense, gritty R&B. Giles Robson has a great and urgent voice with an appealing cry at the end of certain words. Filip Kozlowski lays down choppy and insistent guitar riffs, bringing to mind The Hoax at their brilliant best.” Blues Matters
