As freelance musicians the guys in Protect The Beat (PTB) are authentic legends:
Winston Blissett (bass) has diverse credits including Massive Attack (world tour) and Sting (TV).
Derek Nash (sax) currently features in the Jools Holland Big Band.
Tim Cansfield (guitar) has both live and studio credits include countless live shows with The Bee Gees, plus touring and recording with Ray Charles, Steve Winwood and Annie Lennox.
Arden Hart (keyboards) recently collaborated with George Clinton and Don Blackman.
Finally, Darby Todd, one of the finest young drummers in the U.K., gives the band their unique edge.
PTB’s debut album, ‘It ain't dinner jazz’, was an exceptional work offering undeniable chemistry. Their second album, ‘Intrepid’, was released in 2007.
